An e-ticket is an electronic ticket you can buy online or through a mobile app. Once purchased, it is stored on your device and does not need printing. Simply show it from your smartphone when checked. Note that the e-ticket must be valid before you board.
E-tickets and travel authorisations are personal. They are valid only together with official photo ID or a SwissPass, so make sure you can prove your identity.
If you buy your e-ticket through the electronic timetable, it is generally valid only from the corresponding scheduled departure time.

Bikes
Dogs of any size travelling in passenger compartments or luggage vans require a half-fare 2nd class ticket or the applicable minimum fare (dog day card, dog passport). Dogs must be placed under your seat so as not to disturb other passengers.
Exception: small dogs up to 30 cm at the withers, carried in a cage, basket or other suitable container placed under your seat, travel free of charge as hand luggage. However, if the dog is taken out of its container, a ticket is required.
Booking is compulsory for groups of 8 or more, at a sales point or by telephone on 027 721 68 40.
Please book your journey at least two working days before departure.
